Lalitpur: National Cooperative Bank Limited has decided to merge 11 of its branch offices located in different parts of the country.
The bank issued a notice on Thursday stating that the services of these branches will be operated from nearby branches starting March 26 (Chaitra 13). After the merger, all related transactions will be carried out regularly from the designated branches.
According to the notice:
Talchok Branch will merge with Pokhara Branch, and services will be provided from Pokhara.
Tilottama Branch will merge with Butwal Branch, with services continuing from Butwal.
Putalibazar Branch will merge with Waling Branch, and services will be provided from Waling.
Putalisadak Branch will merge with New Road Branch, with services from New Road.
Head Office (Kupondole), Imadol Branch, and Lagankhel Branch will merge, and services will be operated from Lagankhel Branch.
Kalimati Branch will merge with Kalanki Branch, with services from Kalanki.
Koteshwor Branch will merge with Thimi Branch, with services from Thimi.
Nayabazar, Narayangopal Chowk, and Gongabu Branches will merge, with services provided from Gongabu Branch.
Phidim Branch will merge with Ilam Branch, and services will be provided from Ilam.
The merger of the branches was approved by Nepal Rastra Bank on February 2 (Magh 20).
According to the bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Badrikumar Guragain, the branch adjustment aims to make service delivery more efficient and well-organized.
Currently, the bank operates 68 branch offices and serves more than 16,000 cooperative organizations across the country. After the merger, the total number of branches will be reduced to 57.
